Itinerary - 01 ( Two nights Three days)
Day 01: leave for Kandy hill cradled highland capital visiting the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens enroute.
Evening visit te Dalada Maligawa , the golden roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the
Buddha. Shop ping and sightseeing of many interesting temples and the lake nearby. Overnight
Kandy.
Day 02: Early morning leave for Polonnaruwa visiting the 12th c. Siriya Rock fortress Theworld heritage
site (5th c.) enroute. Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa.
Day 03: In the morning leave for Anuradhapura ( 3rd c.BC – 8th c.AD) exlore the ruins of ancient city .
after lunch return to Colombo.
Itinerary - 02 ( Seven nights eight days)
Day 01 Arrive in Sri Lanka . Drive about 1 hour and arrive in Colombo .
Day 02 Drive to Anuradhapura – enroute visiting the Yapahuwa rock fortress. Overnight in Anuradhapura .
Day 03 Explore ancient city of Anuradhapura . Elephant ride in the afternoon. Overnight in Giritale.
Day 04 Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa . Afternoon visit the Dambulla cave monasteries.
Overnight in Dambulla
Day 05 Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning. Travel to Kandy . Witness Cultural dance show
in the evening featuring fire walking, drummers etc. Overnight in Kandy .
Day 06 Spend day exploring Kandy . Visit Peradeniya Gardens , Museum, Kandy city etc. Overnight in
Kandy
Day 07 Travel to Colombo and spend the day shopping or resting at the hotel.
Day 08 Travel to airport or your next destination.

Travel by train through the tea plantations to Ella
